Materials are then hardened with a special dental light. Once your restoration is complete, the filling is smoothed and polished.
If your tooth has become too damaged or decay for a dental filling to remedy the issue, you may be better suited for a root canal followed by dental crown placement. If the tooth is more severely decayed or fractured, our dentist may recommend tooth extraction followed by dental implant and crown placement.
